Trends From Maison & Objet

The Autumn edition of the 2012 Maison & Objet Trade Fair in Paris showed a much more focused and intentional approach to newness. Color was absolutely key to this effort. And, in spite of the financial instability in Europe, patterns, materials and form took some surprising steps forward! Here are a few highlights from this trend-setting trade fair:

- Cool greens were directional

- Pinks showed unexpected potential for the future

- Linen took a step back

- Wood finishes explored their lighter side

- 1970s-80s looks stepped up

Michelle Lamb, Editorial Director for The Trend Curve has prepared an extensive trend report that gives you many more details about these shifts and tells you about all the key trends in color, materials, shapes, textures, motifs and themes.
