One of the best debuts in High Point at the April Furniture Market was also one of the quietest. It came from Will Johnson of The Children’s Mattress Company. This fellow decided that the same amount of attention paid to making adult mattresses more comfortable should be applied to children’s mattresses as well. He will tackle the comfort issue for crib mattresses shortly. Smart man.
Working with Symbol Mattresses, he created a mattress that is not only comfortable to lay down on (it has five different densities of foam to support the body), but also has anti microbial and water resistant properties (every parent knows that a moisture barrier is as important for spills as it is when kids are learning to stay dry at night). These features come along with two other big bonuses that go beyond their early compliance with flame retardant standards:
- The mattress is covered with terry ticking for comfort and breathe-ability, so water resistant no longer means that kids get overheated.
- The springs in this mattress are designed to create less movement. So when mom or dad lays down with their child to coax them to sleep, they are less likely to wake their little one when they sneak away.
Add a no-flip promise and you have a great bed for kids of all ages.
