Four Hands does a great job of developing and sourcing unique products. When I toured their showroom tonight, I found that they also do a great job of making an eco-chic statement at the same time. Their product line includes lighting encrusted with real sea shells, tree trunks (some are painted Orange) as sculpture and reclaimed railroad ties from India, made into tables. This fits with their stated committment to the preservation of the world’s natural resources for future generations.
One of my favorite new environmental-themed lines is a group of tables made of recycled elm. The raw look of the tabletops is on-trend. The style of each bronze base fits with the Updated Classic trend, providing an interesting juxtaposition of dressy and dressed down elements in a single piece. If you are in High Point, you should make a point of dropping by their showroom to have a look.
