Color at the NY Tabletop Market

June 7, 2013 By Michelle Lamb -

Although the color of the year is Emerald, the color to watch going forward is yellow. This happy hue was coming on strong at the New York Tabletop market. But yellow was not the only color trend. Dark-and-rich blues (think sapphire and navy) also advanced. They were especially strong in blue/white duos that, while perennial bestsellers for the table, were only in growth mode for companies like Vietri.

Black-and-white teamed up in a bold choice that is on-trend yet again. Mikasa focused on this color combination with a display of several black-and-white patterns that ranged from traditional to modern. The message was clear: black-and-white can work with every style.
