Pastels have been growing at a snail’s pace for nearly a year. But at the October 2013 High Point furniture market, these light-value hues kept popping up.
Even though there were certainly fewer pastels than there were neutrals or saturated deeps, pale-and-complex colors— joined by light-value mid-tone colors and wood stains—upped their visibility in a way that signaled a greater role for lightweight hues and finishes from 2014 – 2016.
