At DMC‘s Holiday & Home Expo, signs were everywhere, especially for Halloween, Thanksgiving and fall. In fact, a number of exhibitors confirmed that, while figurines are downtrending, décor (including signs) is gathering momentum.
As the sign trend expands, it is taking on a number of personalities. Words, like Boo! for Halloween were just the beginning. Sayings (Eat, Drink and Be Scary was repeated too many times to count) were also common in Dallas. Product signs—for pies, fresh eggs and more—often came with a farm-to-table sensibility.
But the best new signs had word collages. The words were all related, but not necessarily strung together into a sentence. Below are a few of The Trend Curve’s favorite signs from the Holiday & Home Expo last month.
