The International Home & Housewares Show was full of products that improve food preparation, storage and eating for consumers. Sometimes that means a trend-right color, like Le Creuset’s new Fennel Green, applied to their line of cookware. In other cases, it means an easier way to give treats you have made yourself to a friend, like Wilton’s decorated cookie-swap boxes. And often, it means improving the functionality of everyday items to make them easier to use. Here are a few of The Trend Curve’s favorites:
- The Turbo Fan Salad Spinner from Dexas, with bottom and side openings to expel water, was designed to be used while sitting in the sink
- Chicago Metallic’s created a winged cookie sheet, with two turned-up sides, makes picking up a pan of hot cookies a breeze (with trend-right blue edging)
- Progressive’s Dip Clip sauce container that clips to and stays put on any plate
- Obol’s innovatively designed, two-section spiral bowl keeps crackers crisp until you slide them into your soup
- Pedrini’s Pitzo Pizza Cutter, with an open handle and rolling blade, gives the user better control
- Cool Gear’s Eco 2 Go Chillers are BPA-free to-go glasses with non-toxic freezer gel between double walls to keep drinks colder for longer.
