The blue-green tarnish of aging copper had its last big moment during the Arts & Crafts era of the late-20th century. It is by no means back, but the rising status of copper, a revitalized penchant for texture and a still-building farm-to-table trend suggest that there could be more to come for this look.
At DMC‘s Holiday & Home Expo, a handful of companies showed off verdigris-inspired finishes, accented with gold or copper metallic. These looks are on the watch list for late 2015 and 2016.
