COLOR
- Everyone was talking about neutral landscapes
- Black-and-white duos had trend status once again
- Taupe was back in a big way
- Pinks showed up everywhere, including rose
- Minty greens debuted in multiple categories
- Bronze joined lots of assortments
TEXTURES AND FORMS
- 3-D effects made dimension a real factor
- Iridescence emerged
- Matte/low-luster combinations were on-trend
- Embossed/relief contrast made surfaces even more complex
- Facets became a huge story
- Folds, while related to facets, stood on their own
PATTERNS AND MOTIFS
- Words remained an important pattern direction
- Small-scale, 70s-inspired geometrics took off
- So did facet-inspired geometry
- Thin lines had lots of visibility
- Speckles ramped up
- Tile-work designs went on the watch list
