Heimtextil’s top-line trends:
COLOR
- The scales tipped toward cool greens in a big way
- Blues kept a high profile, especially denim-inspired versions
- Oranges preferred red influences, whether they were bright or rusty
- Black looked great with anything, especially brights
- Grays persisted, with most examples cool rather than warm
- Sleeper color: Curry gold
TEXTURE AND TECHNIQUE
- Stone-washed was the market’s re-emerging texture
- Woven-in puckers were also directional
- Printed textiles texture kept popping up
- Gradients continued, but blurry patterns were newer
- Photo imagery was on-trend
- Patchwork looks had lots of exposure
MOTIFS AND THEMES
- Floral designs reigned supreme
- Chevrons also took center stage
- A paisley revival was big in more than one way
- Think Aztec for directional geometric looks
- Butterflies had a few new tricks up their sleeves
- Skylines and big-city buildings kept growing
