This year’s edition attracted around 70,000 visitors from 135 countries. It featured 2975 exhibitors from 64 countries, making it one of the best places to discover new textiles trends. - Green cooled down at Curt Bauer
- Schlossberg got behind incoming purple
- An oversized floral helped KAAT’s cushion stand out
- Arthouse’s show-stopping Momoka velvet cushion
COLOR
- Greens flipped the switch from warm to cool
- Like blush before it, rose was being called the new neutral
- Berry emerged to bridge established pinks and newer purples
- Purples ran the gamut, but didn’t steal the show
- Golds warmed up to curry
- Black anchored a range of directional, rich hues
TEXTURES AND MATERIALS
- Tactile and visual textures spoke to an important return to craft
- Watercolor techniques were everywhere
- Still, brush strokes looked newer
- Stonewashed fading persisted, reinforcing a vintage sensibility
- Digital printing exploded
- So did weave effects, especially for velvet
ICONS AND PATTERNS
- Flowers were big, both literally and from a trend perspective
- Jungle looks kept building
- Asian influences departed the basics list for trend
- Boho style grew
- Geometrics softened dramatically
- This occurred as all angular designs backed off
