- Blue advanced yet again, with red casts firmly taking hold

- Walnut remained the top wood choice
- Still, exotic types edged up as an indicator of stronger business
- Metals and metallics made the turn toward warmth even more obvious
- Rattan returned in updated furniture silhouettes
- Bulky and distinct textures continued to signature woven fabrics
- Luster was still a volume accent

- Emerging faded-floral prints recalled tea-stained looks of the past
- Jacobean floral designs took hold
- So did patterns featuring pomegranates
- Rug-inspired designs continued in strength
- Influences from Spain, Portugal had high-end support
