MATERIALS AND DETAILS
– Mixed materials looked right again
– Metal came back in a big way
– Wood tones ranged from medium to raw
– Nails and tacks began to shrink
– Flanges led a range of low-and-tight embellishments
– Small-scale texture was immensely important for every material
PATTERNS AND MOTIFS
– Thin stripes headlined lots of products
– Herringbones of all sizes had strong voices
– So did directional tweeds
– Plaids continued to emerge
– Birds surged ahead in more varieties than before
– Ikats remained, while Suzanis backed off
