- Greens surged, especially cooler versions
- That said, warmer types felt directional
- Denim-influenced blues strengthened
- Dark petrol was another big blue direction

- Sensual was the word applied most often to new shapes
- An origami sensibility was the sharp-angled countertrend
- Raffia, cane and rattan took off
- Exotic woods advanced
- Chenille and bouclé returned to trend
- Mohair was a high-end direction
- Bullion fringe made a major comeback
ICONS AND THEMES
- Florals had significant support
- Plaids popped up more often
- African sensibilities spread throughout the market
- The return to tradition looked more traditional, less updated
- Asian influences advanced
- The 70s were back in many ways
