COLOR
– Several makers talked about working with “happy” colors
– Blues appeared in multiple types
– Purple still made a statement
– Orange was more basic than trend
– Greens looked fresher than they have in years
– Black and White both had lots of support
MATERIALS AND PATTERNS
– Recycled, reclaimed and repurposed materials were front and center
– Walnut was the wood of choice for many artisans
– While Copper advanced slowly, stainless steel had many new applications
– Metal mesh kept popping up
– Dots were key
– Honeycombs also appeared
SHAPE AND FUNCTION
– Angular shapes were everywhere
– Quirky forms made the unexpected seem expected
– Teardrops ramped up
– Pieces attached to the wall to save space
– They also could be used for multiple purposes
– Eco looks were updated with practical functionality
