Noteworthy in Paris:
COLOR
- Green advanced, especially newer moss and olive
- Warm pinks raced ahead
- Blues, like turquoise and Mediterranean, began a comeback
- Curry was the yellow that mattered
- Reds looked best in scaled-back/worn intensities
- Browns felt fresher/better than grays
MATERIALS AND TEXTURES
- Metal finishes were right when warm
- Concrete was on-trend
- Marble returned in a big way
- Oak and walnut still led the wood category
- Colored and metallic glass meant a lot
- Cork kept popping up
MOTIFS AND THEMES
- Geometrics continued to lead surface design
- Leaves grew, and even meant more than flowers
- Tropical birds kept building, along with a tropical theme
- Southwest/South American elements hinted at a larger role
- Baroque looks tried to be noticed
- On the watch list: Pop Art
