COLOR

  • Warmer mid-tone greens had important roles
  • Directional forest punctuated décor vignettes
  • Yellow advanced, especially in a tangy pastel and mustard
  • Coral surged
  • Pale pink was having a moment in Paris
  • Dark blues remained bestsellers

MATERIALS AND TEXTURES

  • Marble was still the top trend material
  • Contrasting wood stains were used on a single piece for newness
  • The approach reinforced other hybriding trends, including mixed media
  • Smoke/black glass had more play
  • Paper continued to develop
  • Brass was everywhere

PATTERNS AND THEMES

  • A mixed-media approach often took the place of pattern
  • Geometrics got much less strict
  • Watercolor and other softening effects advanced
  • Tropical leaves appeared in shape and pattern
  • Lace influences were seen in patterns, materials, textures
  • Flamingos showed up in (lots of) surprising places
