COLOR
- Olive made inroads, yet Kelly was the freshest green
- Clay had lots of exposure in dusty mid-tone personalities
- Rose, another mid-tone, began ascending
- Red-cast blues added to their share
- Still, turquoise was new in multiple stands
- Browns finally gained some respect
MATERIALS AND TEXTURES
- Marble remained hot, with pinky-red hues expanding
- Mirrors came with added functionality, as well as patterns
- Wood finishes hinted at a darker future
- Colored glass got some amazing exposure
- Cane kept popping up
- Perforated metal was a factor once again
PATTERNS AND MOTIFS
- Tropical leaves took off
- Art Deco geometrics emerged
- Scandinavian geometrics persisted
- Other geometrics were layered or abstracted
- Bugs entered the mainstream
- Under-the-sea themes were everywhere and at all price points
