– Soft pastel shades emerged
– Lavender and Purple hues hung on
– The market deepened its commitment to Blue
TEXTURE and FORM:
– Matte/bisque/velvet finishes showed a preference for matte textures
– They looked great when paired with a gloss
– Raised patterns, especially on white dinnerware, had fascinating textures
– Unique shapes did not back off
– Neither did squares
MOTIFS and THEMES:
– Traditional and archival patterns were modernized
– Garden themes prevailed
– Bold graphics had plenty of support
– Global influences did not back off
