COLOR
- A general warming of color got frequent mentions
- Washed and sunbaked reds were prevalent
- Clay teamed with aubergine in directional combinations

- Metallics went warm: bronze, copper, old gold

- Multi-layered looks, like quilted-plus-corded emerged
- Quilted, hand-pieced and needlepoint effects alluded to folk influences to come

ICONS & PATTERNS
- Faded treatments, blurred edges and a hazy quality impacted pattern
- Layered surface designs produced more perceived dimension

- Asian motifs returned: foo dogs, dragons, pagodas
- Buffalo checks and plaids got a modern makeover
