COLOR
– It was all about gray, gray, gray
– Peacock (and some teal) appeared at all prices
– Citrine and Anjou greens did, too
– Rusty oranges surged, especially with peacock partners
– Soft yellows, paired with gray, looked great
– Mid-tone values rose
TEXTURE AND MATERIALS
– Distressed looks were new and directional
– Matte/luster yarn combinations favored matte
– Puckering kept popping up
– Heavy rug looks continued to build
– Linen let up a bit
– That was because velvet and flock stepped up
MOTIFS AND PATTERNS
– So many companies called out Missoni inspiration for new designs
– Ikats increased again
– Kilim-rug looks took off in a big way
– Meandering lines showed up in many collections
– Paisleys had emerging status
– Watercolor effects made florals and more stand out
– Zebra was the standard bearer for animal skins this time
