- High/low patterns pushed for more dimension

- Broken and pieced patterns emerged as an important new direction
- They began to displace interlocking designs
- Stripes came with texture, ornamentation or abstractions
- Paint splatters popped up in multiple showrooms
- Classic motifs removed detail, modernizing them
- Art Deco style was incoming
