A Mix of Horror and Fun Midsummer Scream

November 6, 2019 By Michelle Lamb -

Because I forecast color and design trends, consumer shows are not normally on my radar. After all, the products shown at consumer events come way too late in the trend cycle to be of any use to forecasts for the industry. But I have learned that this is not necessarily true of Midsummer Scream.

If you work with, or just happen to love all things Halloween, you should know about Midsummer Scream. Held each summer at the Long Beach Convention Center in Southern California, this event is an experience like nothing else you will find for this seasonal celebration. The mood is almost electrified because of the enthusiasm of both the exhibitors and the attendees. Cosplay contributes to the excitement, as participants walk the aisles in costumes that are drop-jaw fabulous.

Spooky and frightening worlds are created in environments like the Desert Decay Manor, Monsters of Mayhem and Fear Fest.
