Our Color & Trend Forecast for 2010

October 6, 2008 By Michelle Lamb -

Every time we release the latest version of The Trend Curve Colors™, I say to my self, “THIS is the best palette we have ever done. I have never liked the colors better or believed in the trends more.” My response to our 2010 forecast has been no different.

Last week, The Trend Curve Colors 2010 debuted for subscribers to The Trend Curve™. This week it becomes available for sale to the general public (we always give our subscribers early access and discounted pricing on our products). I hope everyone will be as enthusiastic about these colors as I am.

There are 38 new colors in 6 groups that each have a different personality. My favorite hues at the moment are Carnation Coral (Coral tones will be hot on both the Pink and the Orange side in 2010), Plum Illusion (Purples will not relinquish their hold on the market) and Chimera Green (Greens will go both warm and cool for the next couple of years).

In addition to the colors, we prepared 9 Trend Cards to talk about directions that will happen concurrently with the color. I believe in all of them, but as with color, I have a few favorites here, too. Boudoir taps into luster, evolving textures and the embrace of neutrals. A Little Bit Country wakes up to a revival of Americana—with a few twists, of course! Youthful Defiance taps into youth movement trends that I always seem to identify with.

If you have already purchased The Trend Curve Colors™ 2010, we would like to hear your feedback! Email Janice or me to let us know what you liked best and where we can do things better for you. If you are interested in purchasing the forecast, just click on the Trend Store tab above and go to Color Forecasts. It’s right on top—where it deserves to be! Here is a picture of our new color and trend forecast.
