Spring Forward for 2012

November 22, 2010 By Janice Carlson -

Spring has always been celebrated as a time of rebirth. For 2012, there will be an even greater sense of renewal. That’s because consumers will be regaining the optimism that was largely lost during years of economic turmoil. As the economy improves and their life-styles regain equilibrium, those consumers will be more willing to spend on seasonal gifts and décor.

There are few more-inspiring undertakings than adding light and bright color, or fresh looks inspired by the year’s warmer months, to home interiors. Bringing a themed floral arrangement into a room, changing the toss pillows to a brighter tone or including spring-patterned accent plates on the table all lift the spirits. Consumers will be looking for products that can do that in their everyday décor.

Spring Forward™ for 2012 is our latest color-and-trend forecast for 2012 includes:

+ 24 paint-on-paper colors and 6 pearl or metallic finished hues, sized at 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″, carefully selected to work with everyday décor
+ A portable, 30-color mini deck on a ring
+ 8 Trend Cards with bullet-point details AND a palette for each trend

– Khaki and Pearls
– Charming Chocolates
– Courtly Love
– Tropical Breezes
– Hatchlings & Seedlings
– Petite Pleasures
– Gothlings
– Picnic Basket

We can certainly help you with both trends and colours for 2012. If you look in our Trend Store (https://trendcurve.com/store/) you will discover many colour forecasts and trend reports. One, for example, is The Trend Curve Colors™ for 2012 (https://trendcurve.com/color-forecast/the-trend-curve-colors-for-2012/). In addition, we have several other reports that would provide you with overviews to major markets so you could see trends in other categories, providing you with guidance and insight in to home furnishings.
