Covering the Holidays from Valentine’s Day to the 4th of July, a spring/summer forecast has to be comprehensive enough to furnish trends and colors for both genders for important gift- and card-giving occasions like Mother’s, Father’s, and even wedding days! With a whopping 12 trends and 29 colors, plus 3 metallics, our Spring Forward forecast for 2015 is our most wide-ranging yet.
We forecast that Valentine’s Day will have some polar-opposite directions in 2015. The wilds of an African jungle will send it roaring towards big cats, as well as screeching monkeys and parrots. Meanwhile, that wistful memory of a first kiss will lend itself to a girl-next-door trend that embraces inscribed candy hearts and affectionate lipstick prints.
Meanwhile, human “man caves” are celebrated with a tribute to outdoor grilling and a Fixit Shop trend that captures the down-and-dirty styling of everything from beer coasters to toolboxes. The backyard is the next logical step with our “Botanica” trend, which captures both edible and decorative planting and all of the pots and gardening tools that go with it.
A very different view of the garden is offered in our Garden Party trend, which sets the sunny, pastel scene for an Easter brunch and egg hunt. Early spring blooms are joined in the garden by raw-silk table runners and glazed ceramic dishes.
But Valentine’s Day to summer’s end is a very long time to encapsulate in a blog post, so you can find more details here: http://tdcv.us/1aJauqA
