I am feeling quite excited about my trip next week. I will spend several days researching color for our upcoming palette, tentatively titled The Trend Curve Colors™ Latino!. The trip will dovetail with the stack of research materials we have been building in our office for the past few months.
I was reading a recent piece from Cotton Incorporated about the Hispanic market. Queries for thier Lifestyle Monitor™ revealed that 39% of Hispanic women characterize the style of their homes as traditional, vs. 31% of the total answering their survey, and that only 13% say their home is Country style, vs. 25% of the total sample.
The piece I read goes on to say that the Hispanic market represents about $600 billion in spending power, with $1 trillion the estimate by 2010. This is certainly a segment to pay attention to. That’s why we are interested in developing a palette for all of our subscribers who need to know about Latino color.
