Ombré effects and other types of gradient looks were on-trend at this month’s Showtime upholstery textiles market. They were shown as drifting color, creating visual texture in grounds or in figures. Sometimes they appeared in both, creating optic effects. Gradients were also present in designs featuring declining scales, especially dots and thin stripes, giving the impression that a motif was gradually fading away.
Here are some of the gradient looks you can expect to see on sofas and chairs at the April 2016 High Point furniture market, and on retail selling floors from October of next year.
