Every now and then mistakes happen. Big ones. I discovered one of these big mistakes today when a subscriber phoned to ask about my talk in High Point during the upcoming Furniture Market.
While Cathy scoured the official web site looking for the location of my talk, I went back to the email trail where I was asked to speak, hoping to confirm the location. When I did not see the location in any of these emails, I called the person who did the asking four months ago. That’s when I discovered that she was no longer on-staff. No one knew I had been asked to speak back in May, and no one had me on the new schedule for this market.
So to those of you who had planned to attend my talk in High Point, I am sorry that you will have to wait until next time. You can still buy the CD-ROM version of the talk I gave in July/August at the Las Vegas and New York markets called Changing Home Trends: What Matters Now by going to the Trend Store link on our web site, calling Cathy at 800.531.6614 or sending Janice an email.
To those of you who agreed to let me into your showrooms ahead of my seminar so I could be ready with fresh images and trend information, please also accept my apology. I will do my best to highlight the items I would have included in my seminar by including them in my blog during the market, or in The Trend Curve’s next issue.
