I feel so proud of the work that my assistant, Laura Colón, and I (but mostly Laura) did for a client a couple of weeks ago. This company asked us to select six trends that matter for their business in 2006 – 2007, then write talking points about them, select a focused palette and create a story board. The six boards would be unveiled when I was in their offices to present a training seminar on trends and how to track them.
I selected the right trends and interpretations and wrote about them. With that information in-hand, Laura spent the right amount of time to find the best images, buy the right objects and select the right colors for each of the trend boards. When she packed them up for shipment, our entire team felt confident that our client would be pleased—and they were. Here are their comments about the boards in an email I receive while I was in High Point:
“The boards are amazing. Liked the artful way the color swatches were displayed, great choice of photos and just overall beautiful execution. A big improvement over our current ones.”
We just love to surprise and delight!
